UM Nurse Consultant (Hampstead)
Job DescriptionApplies critical thinking, evidenced based clinical criteria and clinical practice guidelines for surgical services requiring precertification.
The majority of the time is spent at a desk and on the phone collecting and reviewing clinical information from providers.
Precertification nurses use specific criteria to authorize procedures/services or initiate a Medical Director referral as needed.
Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with current unrestricted state license 3
years of clinical experience Position requires proficiency with computer skills which includes navigating multiple systems Sedentary work involves periods of sitting, talking, listening and computer use Ability to work in a fast paced environmentCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires its Colleagues in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated.
If you are vaccinated, you are required to have received at least one COVID-19 shot prior to your first day of employment and to provide proof of your vaccination status within the first 30 days of your employment.
